What now by Mewnna-Caythin

Slowly but surely, Noirla continues to carry the injured Bug-Steel member, Booster, to the Atelier section.  From where she rescued the mon, it is a long journey over to the very safe zone, and with the wounded man's current condition, it will take much longer for the two of them to reach there before more mobsters come sneaking up to them.  However, other members of the circus are pitching in to eliminate or distract these monsters as much as possible, making it a little easier for the Reshiram to deliver the man to be treated with proper care.  The white feathered dragon looks at every single direction, cautiously watching for any signs of the enemies as she continues to act like a crutch for the poor Forretress, and she certainly cannot carry the man, for she is not strong enough to lift such weight.  And she is certainly not going to take any hazardous risks of leaving him and fetch for assistance; Booster would be a sitting Psyduck for the mobsters if she were to do so.  "We're almost to the doctor's office.  Hold on just a little longer."  She could feel him tense up a little bit after she mentioned about the doctor.  She asked him.  "What?  Is there something you hold against him?"  Booster replied to her, "Well, I did encounter him once, and let's just say that it was a little . . . uncomfortable."

"What do mean by 'uncomfortable?'  What was he trying to do?"

She watches Booster pause for a moment to create a good response.  "He wanted to do some extra observations on me, studying about my kind.  What if does that to me while he heals me?"

Noirla shakes her head to the mon's assumption.  "We are in a serious situation now.  I doubt he will do any extra observations on you at the moment.  However, he may remove your bandages if you have any wounds underneath it.  And if he does get carried, I will be sure to cease him from procrastinating."  She watches the Forretresss look away as a sign of denial.  It's a part of my job after all.

Finally, the two mons arrive at the door of Dr. Stein's room and office.  The Reshiram unravels her right arm and begins to knock on the wooden base, soon waiting for someone to respond to her arrival.  She was hoping to see Alfred answer her call, she later finds Freya turn the golden knob and open the maroon door.  Freya questions Noirla's arrival.  "Is it an emergency?"  "Yes.  I have an injured member with me and he needs proper medical treatment immediately," said Noirla.  Freya does not hesitate to inquire any more as she guides the two figures to the patient's room, opening the teal curtains that conceal the room.  The Reshiram sets the Forretress gently to a medical bed available, waiting for the Aromatisse to enter and perform his duty.

The curtains move once again, but this time, instead of seeing Freya enter the scene, Noirla finds Alfred instead.  Even though it has been a while since she last saw him, the very moment feels like she is seeing the man for the  first time, feeling like that they are not couples, but acquaintances.  She says nothing to him and only watches him come closer to Booster.   And no matter how much she wants to hold him,  to feel his warmth again, she holds her place,  standing aside as she watches the doctor perform his duty.  She even remembers the exact words from the the masquerade event.  My patients are always top priority.  The words continue to ring in her head as she continues to watch Altered, the love of her life, work with effort, doing everything he can to ensure good health to his patient.

Dr. Stein patches up the visible wounds on Booster with his supply of antibiotics and Freya covers them with the cloth bandages.  Noirla stands out of the way for the Physician and Nurse to finish their jobs.   "That should do it for now.  You have lost a fair amount of blood, but with a little bit of rest here and plenty of food to replenish your loss, you should be up in no time," Dr. Stein stated.  A heavy sigh comes out of Booster's mouth and through the bandages that cover it.  A sigh of total relief, even though the pain is still unbearable for him to resist.  The Forretress lies on the medical, positions himself in a comfortable position, preparing himself for a well-deserved nap.  Dr. Stein stops and begins looking at every direction in the room; Noirla is nowhere to be seen.  She was standing next to him a little while ago and now she disappeared to another location.  Where did she go?

The Aromatisse grabs his cream orange and chocolate colored cane as he begins to search for her.  It only took him a second to find the Reshiram after lifting up the curtains; she was sitting in the waiting room with her polearm and her holster placed onto another seat next to her.  Noirla's head dips down with arched back, her snow white hair covering her face half way, concealing her visible expression from anyone who walks up to her.  She knows Dr. Stein is present at the moment, yet she does not make any sort of reaction or response towards him.  A look of concern appears behind his goggles; this is absolutely abnormal, and he needs to know what out is.  It is his job, after all.  "My dear, I know there is something troubling you.  But I want you to tell me what it is,  please.  I want to help you."

She leans back against her seat as she lifts up her head, now with her hair brushing away from her face.  The Reshiram is stressed, fatigued, irritated, and crestfallen all at once.  Even though she is relieved to see her love return to normal, that is not the reason why she is feeling like so.  "I'm fine.  It's just," she pauses for a moment and resumes, "I find it strange to come back in this room again.  It feels like I just came in here for the first time, completely new to this, even though I have come here multiple times."  Noirla lets out a heavy,  stressful sigh before she continues making her point.  "Alfred?  Do you recall the incident when the entire circus was infected by the disease from the Famgilia?"

Stein nods his head in agreement.  "Yes, I do remember.  I didn't know something as potent as that would affect me until it did.  And no matter how much I fought to keep myself sane, I lost to it.  I didn't want to see myself become a psychopathic killer, but there was nothing I could do to revive myself."  He waddles up to an available seat next to Noirla and sets himself down in that spot.  "I'm terribly sorry for making you wait this long, Noirla.  I did not want to leave you or my patients."  He places his hand on her arm to comfort the pain she is suffering.

In return, the Reshiram places her hand over his.  "There's no need for you to apologize to me."  She looks back at him.  "But will we win this battle against them?  Will our lives return to normal after this miniature war is over?"

"I cannot say what will happen to us, but we must have faith in winning this battle."

"I know.  It's just-"   She looks away for a second and a small streak of water draws on her face as she tries to bite into her words.  "I don't want to lose you again."

Dr. Stein does not move a limb, nor does he say another word.  Both of them knew how long it was since the last time they made eye contact with each other.  "Noirla,  my dear.  Listen to me, please.  It has been quite a while since we last saw each other.  However,  what you are stating to me is as if we lost The battle already.  You are a strong Pokèmon, a Reshiram, a legendary being.  But what you are lacking is self-confidence.  You can become stronger from this tactic and help us win and end this war."

It did not take long for Noirla to realize that she is making her speech sound like the circus lost the fight without it even happening in the first.  It's because of her lack of confidence and negative thoughts that is preventing her from making the goal happen.  This may not be the first time she had done this to herself,  but it's not going to continue on until the end of the line does come.  There's no telling what will happen to the circus unless she puts herself out first.

She looks back at her Aromatisse boyfriend, wiping away the tiny streak from the dew that slipped out,  and smiles at him.  "You're correct.  Wallowing in pity now when that time hasn't even come?  How foolish of me to even come to think of it."   The Reshiram rises from her seat as she grabs her ammo and signature weapon, but she turns back to Dr. Stein, who is now out of his seat and standing besides her and being supported by his cane.  Noirla says to him,  "I have many reasons to tell you why I still love you, Alfred.  But what I have experienced now is the main reason why.  Thank you."

The snow white dragon kneels down halfway and leans forward to the pink doctor,  their hands meeting to one another, and both close their eyes to perform a blissful kiss.  The spell binding the two breaks as Noirla lifts herself off of the floor.  She then attaches her holster over her shoulder and secures her polearm on her back, soon making contact to the exit.  She looks back at Alfred and smiles at him, saying to him, "I will return soon.  Wish me luck."

"I will.  And to others as well," replied the doctor.

She turns the knob and closes the door behind her.  Dashing her way out, with her game face on, she makes a tremendous jump of the ground, her arms spread out as she catches a breeze, and flies through the sky, searching for anymore opponents from below.
