Poke team

thought of this unique meme: Draw yourself as a pokemon trainer but the pokemons that you owe must reflect on where you live.  This one was fun to do, especially the quirky little Sunflora there XD _{Can't really say the same for the background I did :'D}

I live in SoCal, and over here, there is no such thing as winter because the area is so close to Mexico, which is near the equator.  That kind of explains about the Solrock in the picture.  The only time that I would see snow is up in the mountain areas, FAAAAAAR north from here.  The beach isn't far from where I am, probably about 20 miles or so.

The beach that I live closest to is Long Beach.  In Long Beach, it  is populated with many sea creatures, including sea lions.  ESPECIALLY SEA LIONS!  Which explains about why I have a Dewgong and yes Dewgong is a Sea Lion Pokemon.  I did research.  We also have other sea critters like sea stars and jellyfish.  (Hint hint Starmie and Frillish best suit the condition.)  Also, about Frillish, during my time looking at the origins of creating this pokemon, bulbapedia mentions about Frillish and Jellicent being heavily inspired by a moon jellyfish and Nurarihyon, a youkai in Japanese folk tales who is said to be the most powerful youkai in both the youkai and human world. _{My love for youkai is strong shut up >A<}

And because SoCal is mostly bright and sunny over here (which I hate because I don't like bright and sunny conditions, hence why I'm wearing those sunglasses) we do have a bunch of sunflowers here, making my derpy Sunflora the perfect choice.  _{Side note: I thought of this goofy expression during my time in the chats.  I mentioned how much trouble I was having trying to draw Dewgong and someone posted this icon Of course, by the time I saw this I was already done with my Dewgong.  So I gave it to my Sunflora instead.}

I did want to have some sort of bird pokemon, but I realized how much I hate sea gulls and pigeons, and it is illegal to own a crow as a pet here.  So much for that OTL.

But oh well, I had fun.
